Longtime Bellator standout Aaron Pico has no desire to compete for PFL, and with his contract complete, he’s calling on PFL founder Donn Davis to grant him his outright release.
Speaking with Grind City Media’s John Morgan, Pico says his lone interest right now is competing in the UFC, and he’d actually like to debut against No. 13-ranked featherweight Bryce Mitchell – though he’d be more than willing to face champion Ilia Topuria if that’s what the Dana White prefers.
Before he can entertain those offers, Pico said he needs his matching clause waived, a reality that if enforced could see him waiting for another year before he can sign a UFC deal. Pico outlines multiple canceled bookings and a chaotic year following Bellator’s acquisition by the PFL and said he’s no interested in waiting any longer to go fight for the UFC.Longtime Bellator standout Aaron Pico has no desire to compete for PFL, and with his contract complete, he’s calling on PFL founder Donn Davis to grant him his outright release.
