Ingredients:
1 lb raw ahi tuna, diced into bite-sized cubes
Green onions (scallions), chopped
1 teaspoon dried ginger (or fresh ginger, grated)
1 teaspoon salt
Black pepper, to taste
Soy sauce, to taste
Sesame oil, to taste
1 green cabbage, thinly sliced
Juice of 1 lime
Olive oil
Corn tortillas, deep-fried until crisp
Premade guacamole
Instructions:
1. Begin by dicing the raw ahi tuna into bite-sized cubes.
2. In a mixing bowl, combine the diced tuna with chopped green onions, grated ginger, salt, black pepper, soy sauce, and sesame oil. Adjust seasoning to taste.
3. Prepare the green cabbage by thinly slicing it. Place the sliced cabbage in a separate bowl.
4. Squeeze the juice of one lime over the sliced cabbage. Add a drizzle of olive oil, salt, and pepper to the cabbage, then toss to combine.
5. To assemble the tostadas, spread a layer of premade guacamole onto each crisp corn tortilla.
6. Top the guacamole with a spoonful or two of the seasoned tuna mixture.
7. Finish by adding a generous portion of the dressed cabbage salad on top of the tuna.
8. Serve immediately and enjoy the light, flavorful, and healthy tuna tostadas!
