Memphis, Tenn. – Grind City Media announced today that the Zach Randolph retirement documentary #50ForDaCity has been selected to participate in this year’s Indie Memphis Film Festival. The documentary was selected for the “Hometowner” category and will be screened this Sunday, Oct. 23, at 1:30 p.m. at Studio on the Square.
#50ForDaCity, produced by Grind City Media, chronicles Zach Randolph’s journey in Memphis and with the Grizzlies – starting with the trade that brought him to the Bluff City – to every Z-bound, headband toss, MLGW bill paid, chokeslam and more. Following the screening, fans are invited to listen in to a panel featuring Director Michael Blevins.
Celebrating its 25th Anniversary, Indie Memphis Film Festival brings a range of independent features, documentaries and short films to Memphis from all corners of the world. Indie Memphis Film Festival is inspired by the social and artistic history of Memphis as a majority Black city in the South. The festival aims to redefine prestige as well as celebrate new, original films and value rediscovery within film history.
